SUPPLY CHAIN VISIBILITY IN ACTION
Supply chain visibility solutions provide the information needed to optimize overall supply chain decisions. Because supply chains have multiple stakeholders, a robust visibility solution provides different views to support the decision making needs for various stakeholder personas.
FOR EXECUTIVES
A supply chain executive would use this dashboard to quickly see key performance indicators (KPIs) across all supply chain network nodes. Trend graphics and color coding highlight issues and enable easy diagnostic drill-downs.

IN DISTRIBUTION CENTERS
The same dashboard can be used to provide a targeted view for a distribution center (DC) manager needing to see the performance of their specific facility. Using filtered views of the same dashboards ensures everyone is focused on the same KPIs.

RETAIL MERCHANTS
In addition to sales performance, a retail merchant would have a vested interest in out-of-stock performance across geographies and time. Using forecast or average sales rate, out-of-stocks can be quantified as lost sales to provide additional context for merchants.
Visualized is a record of the number of items that were out of stock at various stores, grouped by region.

There are multiple regions with stock-outs, but special attention can be paid to the region represented by turquoise to try and address the supply issues. Further investigation could involve determining if the stockouts are for the same or different items, as that would determine if the solution would require ordering larger quantities, rerouting existing products, or another custom option.
SHIP TO STORE INVENTORY DETAILS
Visibility solutions must support targeted functional views. In this example, a DC manager can see detailed information on item shipments made to the store locations supported by their DC. This view supports information on shipments by geography (region), overall shipments by time period, as well as item/store level details.

MERCHANTS & EXECUTIVES
Supply chain executives and merchants need information on inventory by product categories. Visibility solutions must support easy navigation to underlying details. In this example, clicking on a category to drill to item level details and drilling into detailed metrics for a specific time period.

ADVANCE SHIP NOTICES
Supply chain executives, DC managers, and merchants often need detailed information on incoming inventory. Advanced ship notices (ASNs) provide a wealth of information to support use cases such as storage and staffing planning, supplier performance evaluation, and DC performance analysis.
